Established in 1974 by Fred W. Taggart, Taggart-Knight Group is a 3rd generation manufacturers' representative company, offering commercial plumbing products in the Michigan, Northern Indiana, and Northern Ohio markets.

 

1974     The Taggart Company, inc. formed with Fred Taggart and eldest son Gary, in Southfield, Michigan.

    

1974     Chicago Faucets is the first manufacturer, after Fred had worked with them since the mid-1950s, establishing The Taggart Company as one of the longest running representatives of Chicago Faucets in the country.

​​1982     Company moves to new, larger office location in Farmington Hills, Michigan.​

​

1984     Fred's youngest son, Scott Taggart, joins the company.​​​

​

1992     Expansion of office space,  new outside sales staff, and inventory of Chicago Faucets established onsite in Farmington Hills.

  ​

1995     Fred's grandson/Gary's son, Michael Taggart, joins the company.​

​

​2003     Merger of The Taggart Company, inc. and Knight Sales, becoming Taggart-Knight Group.  ​

​

​2016      Company relocates to larger office / warehouse space in Farmington Hills.  ​

​

2019      Outside sales staff, based in Western Michigan, added to our services.​

​

2023     Expansion of warehouse space nearly doubles existing warehouse.​

​

2023-2024     Additional staff, inside and outside sales/service, joined the company.

​

2024     Taggart-Knight Group celebrates 50 years of service.
